The next-generation network-leading research test network builds and operates a backbone network that connects 10 major city areas nationwide at 10Gbps to 1 Tbps. In addition, R&D networks, testbed networks, service network operations, and international research networks are linked to provide specialized services in the user environment.
It provides technical support services such as network opening/expanding/deletion, consulting, and test verification support so that new IT technologies and prototypes can be tested such as stability, operability, and interoperability of development equipment through network functions such as IPv6, MPLS, QoS, Multicast, Ethernet-based Light-Path, and quantum cryptography communication.
It provides infrastructure such as test environments such as shielding rooms and network test rooms applied with leading technologies, and conferences related to test demonstration, practical training, and exhibition environments of outcomes, to enable research and testing on next-generation network application technologies related to the 4th industrial revolution such as AI, 5G, IoT, Edge Computing, SDN/NFV, Cloud, Bigdata, Wireless, Quantum Communication, Security, etc.
